Mic Drop Singing Competition is now Mic Drop Vocal Competition. After two Seasons Produced through a previous distributor, Skyline Cinematics has teamed up with Counterpoint Entertainment to produce, and distribute Mic Drop Vocal Competition.
We're searching state-wide for singing talent.
We’re searching for singing talent from the Pajarito Mountains to the Four Corners, looking to discover voices from every corner of Arizona.

What is mic drop vocal competition?
Mic Drop Vocal Competition is a Reality-Vocal Competition Show where anyone who is anyone above the age of 12 years old can audition on-camera in front of our talented judges.

How Does Mic Drop Vocal Competition Work?
Contestants will audition on-camera in front of our talented judges. NO PRE-AUDITIONS REQUIRED. All auditions are going to be on-camera and apart of the reality show.
Information about each Round
Round 1 Auditions - August 15th, OR 16th, 2026
The exciting first round of the new Mic Drop show will start off in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, near Sky Harbor International Airport. Contestants will arrive on set and be greeted by our wonderful host, Madeline Armistead, and our production crew. Contestants will be signed in, and will be given a number. Contestants will be interviewed by our Host, and will audition in front of our talented judges.
Contestants will introduce themselves, and will perform an acapella song, maximum thirty seconds. Judges will then give short feedback, and constructive criticism if needed. Judges will then vote. At least Two YES votes are needed for a contestant to be invited to the second round, which will be our mentorship round. Contestants who do not get enough YES votes in order to move onto the next round will be sent home.
Contestants have the choice to register for Auditions on August 15th OR August 16th.
MentorShip Round - Date TBA
Contestants who successfully make it through the first round will have a mentorship session with one of our Judges, Tracie Jones. More information about this round is to be announced.
Semi-finals show - August 22nd, 2026
The Semi-Finals raises the stakes as the remaining contestants go head-to-head in the ultimate singing battles. Paired together, each duo must perform the exact same song while battling to prove who delivered the stronger vocal, performance, and emotional connection. With only a few spots in the finale on the line, tensions rise as contestants face off in the most intense round of the competition yet. In this cinematic hour-long special, every performance matters, every critique carries weight, and only the strongest voices will survive the battle for the finale.
FINALE LIVE SHOW - AUGUST 29th 2026
The Live Finale is the biggest night of the season, as the final contestants take the stage one last time to perform full-length songs in front of the judges and a live audience. After surviving auditions, mentorship, and intense singing battles, the finalists now compete for the title of Mic Drop Vocal Competition champion in an unforgettable night filled with powerhouse vocals, emotional performances, and career-defining moments. With everything on the line, such as the $1,000 cash prize, and the signed record deal. The finalists must deliver the performance of a lifetime as one singer is crowned the winner in this epic live event.
ELIGIBILITY Requirements
- Must be 12 or older to participate in this competition.
- If Contestant is under 18, a Parent/Legal Guardian must register the Contestant, and accompany them to our audition round.
- Contestants are required to have open availability on these dates: August 15th OR 16th, 22nd, AND 29th.
- No Singing Experience required.
Competition rules
- Contestant must be prepared with 3 songs on day of their audition.
- Contestant may be disqualified by our Judges at any time during our Round 1 Auditions, AND/OR Semi-Finals round.
- Skyline Cinematics has a strict anti-discrimination policy. Any contestant that breaks this rule will be immediately disqualified by Skyline Cinematics at ANY time during the competition.
- Contestants who fail to appear without notice will be disqualified.
